What will Arthur, a hapless painter with an unnatural attachment to his father's argyle socks do when the footwear is seized by the formidable Dr Block? Arthur is about to be married and without his socks he is sure to disappoint his new bride. The ensuing shenanigans as Arthur tries first one thing and then another to retrieve his socks before the nuptials will leave the audience breathless with laughter yet wondering at  love, friendship and the help and harm aspects of psychiatry that bubble beneath.
