The Eight: Reindeer Monologues |
|||
|
|||
| Christmas often enters the realms of sublime merriment and
blatant commercialism, but Goode’s Reindeer drive it head-on into the
absurd. The Eight (yup, actors with antlers) don’t spread candy cane
coated stories of Christmas cheer; they tell a tale of scandalous
allegations against Saint Nick himself. This twisted satire is
not only brazenly funny, it cleverly considers the dysfunctional
ways in which society deals with unmentionable subjects. In the process, it
distorts Christmas beyond recognition – but a few minutes in any department
store will soon fix that. Gators
