Youth Report - March 25 2009

Highlights:
  • We are in discussions with NWCC about partnering on Summer Drama Days.
  • BUNK#7 will possibly change direction. There may be a Summer Developmental Retreat in the summer, depending on funding.

Players Committee - March 25 2009

Highlights:
  • Current Productions: Hilarious Comedy to perform on May 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 and June 4, 5, 6. Nancy Stone Archer is Producer. Chris Stone Director.
  • Upcoming Productions: Nunsense 2 - Performance dates are December 3, 4, & 5. [Note: these dates have been changed to November 26,27, & 28 -- editor on June 17, 2009]
  • Member Development: Christine is working on a sample brochure for next season, with membership prices and discount.
  • Dramaturge Tour: Chris Stone, Chair of Skeena Zone, is putting one together.
  • Looking into an early start for the dinner theatre (October?); perhaps an early fall show?
  • Member availability survey to be given out with 09/10 membership forms.

Facilities Report - March 25 2009

Building Highlights:

  • Exterior beautification will be given higher priority.Garnett is looking into local grant money for exterior work.
  • Discussion on construction of on-site storage space. This has been fast tracked, as its construction is not hindered by what goes on in the building. Garnett will be looking at prefabricated options. Norm Larson will be looking into a carpentry application with the college.
  • Pole removal: Bruce Miller, City Building Inspector, has been consulted and is OK with plans as long as the current structural stability of the building is not reduced. He does not see any issues with issuing a permit once blueprints are submitted.
  • There was discussion of various options to replace seating risers.
  • There was discussion of pouring a new cement layer on the floor to make it level
  • It was agreed that the lean-to section will wait until other priorities are completed.

Maintenance Highlights:

  • Seating as been returned to their original positions, but will be configured more appropriately before our next show.
  • Warehouse cleanup party in April TBA.
  • We are exploring a replacement van option.
