Summer Drama Days - Cancelled for 2009

The Terrace Little Theatre regrets informing the community that we will not able to run this very popular program for the Summer of 2009. Inadequate funding and volunteer capacity, plus potential conflicts with on-site construction projects, have placed us in the position of having to cancel Summer Drama Days for the second year in a row.

We are not happy with having to make this decision, but we had little option based on our existing program model. The Terrace Little Theatre asks for you understanding. We will be continuing to work on a revised program model for 2010, and other youth projects for the near future.

Pride of Hockeyville Needs a Co-Captain...

... or "Self-Help" is cast by we need a Stage Manager

For over forty years the Terrace Little Theatre has been entertaining Terrace and the surrounding region with top-notch theatre performances and has represented Terrace in style and pride at too many provincial and regional festivals to count.

If you want to be an integral part of BC's longest running and most successful amateur theatre troupe, this is your chance. We have chosen our spring show and it's cast. All we need now is someone to help steer the ship.

We require a Stage Manager and back stage crew members. The Stage Manager is the number two "man" in the system. He/she helps the director with the everyday managerial tasks that can sometimes take him/her away from focusing creatively on bringing the best product possible to the stage. The SM eventually takes the reigns at Dress Rehearsal and takes the directors vision and makes it reality by ensuring the lighting and sound cues are perfromed properly and that the backstage crew (or ASM's) are doing their jobs so that the actors can focus on putting their best work ON the stage for the audience. He/she also works closely with the producer and TLT executive board to bring the show to the stage.

It sounds like alot of work, but it's also very rewarding and in the end when the run is over, you've helped bring joy to hundreds of people, made a bunch of new friends in the process, you'll have been bitten by the theatre bug and want to do it again and again and again. Plus you'll get to see one of the most hilarious shows we've ever done FOR FREE!
